Nonex™ cartridges are manufactured and assembled at our licensed facility based at Pelindaba, Pretoria, South Africa. Our Rock Breaking Cartridges provide safe and effective non-detonating rock and concrete breaking solutions. They break rock and concrete with minimal vibration and noise. Fly rock is 100% controllable. They are available in 13mm, 28mm, 34mm and 60mm diameters, with charge weights from 5g to 500g.

Nex-Blast-Dia-13mm13mm Rock Poppers

Can be used for breaking small boulders up to 1 cubic meters in size (used widely in breaking crusher oversize), scale removal in tanks and silos, and small demolition jobs.

Requires a 14 – 16mm diameter hole which can be drilled with a hand-held electric hammer drill.

Available in 5 and 10 gram charge weights.

Nex-Blast-Dia-28mm28mm Cartridges

Can be used for boulder breaking, armour stone splitting, medium sized concrete demolition, dimension stone quarrying, swimming pool excavation and other sensitive in-situ rock breaking.

Requires a 32 – 34 mm diameter hole which can be drilled with
a hand-held pneumatic drill using a 160 CFM compressor.

Available in 20 to 160 gram charge weights.

Nex-Blast-Dia-34mm34mm Cartridge

Can be used for concrete demolition, tunnel and shaft enlargement, trenching and other sensitive in-situ excavations.

Requires a 38 – 42 diameter hole which can be drilled with a hand-held pneumatic drill using a 160 – 400CFM compressor.

Available in 20 to 250 gram charge weights.

Nex-Blast-Dia-42mm42mm Cartridges

Can be used for large excavations, trenching and concrete demolition operations.

Requires a 45 – 51mm diameter hole, which can be drilled with a hand-held pneumatic drill or drill rig.

Available in 80 to 240 gram charge weights.

Nex-Blast-Dia-60mm60mm Cartridges

Can be used for mass excavations, hard-rock trenching, large oversize foundations excavation and other sensitive civil rock breaking applications.

Requires a 64 – 76mm diameter hole which can be drilled with a hydraulic or pneumatic drill rig.

Available in 200 to 500 gram charge weights.

These cartridges are classified as “UN 0432, Articles Pyrotechnic for technical purposes, Class 1.4S” as well as “UN 0323, Cartridges, Power Device, Class 1.4S” and have been authorised for use worldwide, where they are widely used for civil excavation and mining applications.
