When starting a new cut, one needs to consider the following in setting operational parameters:
• The type of material being cut.
• Is it wire to be used first cut?
• The height of the bench.
• The power of the saw available to you for that cut.
• Is it an up or down cut (meaning is the saw placed at the top of the bench, or is the saw placed at the bottom?
• Make sure you have your crimper clean and ready for use, with enough ferrules or connections. Careful consideration of the abovementioned will ensure optimal wire performance in terms of:
• productivity ( cutting rate);
• cutting efficiency;
• wire life.
